The Best Sangria Recipe by Robert Simon (Chef of the Future)


I have been cooking for many years and I'm difficult to satisfy, so I created my own cook "Sangria Recipe" which combines my favorite elements for the best authentic Sangria.

Utensils Required

* A sharp fruit knife
* Cutting Board
* Measuring cups
* A Large bowl or decanter, pitcher or bucket for mixing and serving

Ingredients
Fruits

          * 1 Lime
          * 1 Lemon
          * 1 Orange
          * 1 Apple cut into slices
         

Alcohol
           
           *  1/4 cup brandy
           * 1/4 cup triple sec
           * 1/2 cup the dark or white rum
           * 1 bottle of Garnache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot ou Shiraz
           * 1/4 cup of sugar
           * Seltzer


Directions

                 * Mix the alcohol toghether in a large bowl or decanter, pitcher or bucket with sugar
                 * Cut the apple into thin wedges
                 * Remove the zest from the citrus fruits and plce in a basket type coffee filter, tie with
                     string to make a packet
                 * Remove the pith from the outside of the citrus fruit and slice (this will help keep it
                    from getting bitter, if it lasts that long)
                 * Add the fruit slices and the zest paket to the bowl, bucket or pitcher
                 * Serve the sangria chilled, and for slight fizz, add some seltzer before serving
